• We went out on Pirelli Road tires and the track was really slick. I mean REALLY SLICK!

• This video is made up a compilation of many different turns cut from several laps

• Watch out for some really fun action in Turns 10 & 11 as well as 17!

• My best lap in the dry on slicks is a 2:21.96 - on this day my best was a 3:16

• This video might help to explain why!

Panoz Winter Race Series 2006/7 - Feb 3rd 4th 2007

The weekend was wet, and the track was really slick. The lapping day was a total slip and slide affair. Saturday was a bit drier and Sunday was overcast but dry.

On Saturday I qualified 3rd in the rain in the GTP class. Had a great race with Phillip Safriet but spun on the last lap. I managed to hang on to 2nd place.

On Sunday with the track drying out I managed my first pole, albeit in GTP. I screwed up the start - dropping the hammer too early. I got into the lead and pulled away. Towards the end, Phillip caught me and we had an amazing battle for the next 4 laps, trading positions all around the track. We raced hard but clean. On the last lap coming into turn 13 my tires were done and I tossed it away, but luckily stayed off the wall. I got going again but dropped back to 5th.

After the race the stewards gave me a strong dressing down for my early start!

Rob Brent was the class of the field in GTR winning both races with good margins!
